“A Golden Reward for Paralympic Champions”
Silver medalists will be awarded a cash prize of VND 200 million ($7,990), while bronze medalists will receive VND 100 million ($3,995). The city’s People’s Committee has announced rewards of VND 30 million ($1,200) for four coaches and seven athletes participating in the Games, with the funds sourced from private donations to motivate and encourage the athletes. The 2024 Paralympics in Paris will feature 549 events for athletes with disabilities from across the globe. Vietnam is sending a delegation of 14 members, led by Nguyen Hong Minh, deputy director of the Sports Authority of Vietnam. The team includes two officials, one doctor, three coaches, and seven athletes competing in six events across three disciplines: athletics, represented by Pham Nguyen Khanh Minh; swimming, with Do Thanh Hai and Le Tien Dat; and weightlifting, featuring Le Van Cong, Nguyen Binh An, Dang Thi Linh Phuong, and Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan.
