Five airports close ahead of Storm Vamco

The move followed the request of the Ministry to Transport to ensure safety for the aviation sector during Storm Vamco.

Aviation authorities decided to close Chu Lai Airport in Quang Nam province from 9 am today, November 14 to 10 am tomorrow and Danang International Airport from 12 pm today to 10 am tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the closure time for Phu Bai and Dong Hoi airports will be from 2 pm today to 10 am tomorrow and Vinh Airport will be banned for being operated between 6 am to 8 pm on Sunday.

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines have cancelled many flights to these five airports today.

Vietnam Airlines and Pacific Airlines have conducted many flights from and to the closed airports from one to 11 hours earlier than scheduled today.

Passengers are advised to keep informed of the storm information as well as flights to and from the five airports.

Bamboo Airways have also announced changes to their schedules and have cancelled many flights on November 14-15.
