Film shown to enhance Italy-Vietnam cultural collaboration

The Vietnamese Embassy in Italy, the Administration of Rimini city, Italy-Vietnam Foundation, Fulgor Cinema, Fellini Film Library and Museum, Rotary Clubs in Romagna, Rimini, Rimini Riviera, and Cervia Cesenatico jointly organized the event.

Marco Leonetti, the person in charge of Rimini Film Library and Museum, stated that the screening of the Vietnamese film is one of the special activities organized by the museum to promote relations between both sides, especially in terms of art and culture.

Nguyen Thai Hoc, Counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Italy, highlighted that this event signifies a further step in cultural and art collaboration between Vietnam and Italy. He added that it holds even more significance as it took place in Rimini, the hometown of the late talented director Federico Fellini.

“Jasmine,” which participated in the Asian Film Festival in Rome in May of this year, is one of the representative films of Vietnam. It depicts the everyday life of Vietnam, showcasing vivid images of the land and people in the modern era.

The film focuses on human relationships within a bustling urban environment. The characters include a shoeshine boy, a sidewalk barber in Hanoi, an elderly couple, and an old musician who teaches a choir of blind children. The film emphasizes the importance of kindness and concern for others, which fosters strong and meaningful connections between people.
