As reported by the Hue City Economic and Industrial Zones Authority, the zone’s transportation network is almost complete, including a robust wastewater treatment system capable of handling 10,000 cubic meters daily. Hue’s master plan envisions transforming this economic zone into a modern coastal urban area spanning 447 square kilometers. The zone aims to become a clean industrial and seaport hub, a center for international trade, and a tourism, resort, and commercial destination of international repute. Strategically located in the central key economic region, it will forge strong links with Da Nang City, prioritizing infrastructure and technical facilities to meet tier-3 urban area criteria. From 2030 to 2045, the zone is slated for further development, potentially becoming a township or city.
Phan Quoc Son, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Finance, emphasized that Hue is committed to completing synchronized infrastructure in economic and industrial parks. The city will offer support and favorable conditions for investors in infrastructure development projects and work tirelessly to enhance the investment and business environment, making it an attractive destination for investors.
To achieve the ambitious target of double-digit GRDP growth for 2025, Hue’s leaders have directed departments, sectors, and localities to focus on key tasks. This includes expediting procedures for investment projects, ensuring efficient project execution, and providing support for projects with completed investor selection and land-use fee collection within the year.
